Релиз представлен группой:Wings over America — концертный альбом рок-группы Wings, создателем и лидером которой являлся Пол Маккартни. Альбом выпущен в свет 10 декабря 1976. Записи для альбома сделаны в течение мая—июня 1976 года во время тура по городам США, являвшегося частью мирового тура группы под общим названием «Wings Over the World tour» (рус. Крылья над миром). Это первый тройной альбом группы Wings, включающий в себя три виниловых LP-диска; внутри конверта с дисками находится постер с фотографией группы. Дизайн обложки альбома сделан художественной студией Hipgnosis, изображает авиалайнер с приоткрывающейся дверью, из открывающейся щели пробивается яркий свет.
Первоначально Wings over America задумывался как двойной альбом, но решение было изменено после успеха бутлег-альбома под названием Wings from the Wings, выпущенного на трех дисках из красного, синего и белого винила, с записью концерта 23 июня 1976 в зале «Форум» в городе Инглвуд (округ Лос-Анджелес, Калифорния).
