Sunny Lax, real name Levente M rton (born August 6, 1986) is an Hungarian trance music producer. He debuted on the music scene with the 12" P.U.M.A. / Cassiopeia EP as his debut release on Anjunabeats in 2006.
Music had been a major part of Levente's life, and at the age of 13 he started producing music of his own. Initially the music was only for his listening, but it was always a goal to go public and produce music for a wider audience. He began to compete in various remix competitions in his native Hungary, performing well and boosting his self-esteem. This encouraged Levente to send one of his productions, P.U.M.A., to several music labels, and much to his delight Anjunabeats agreed to take it on. Above & Beyond played it on their radio show Trance Around the World consistently, and Anjunabeats moved quickly to sign M rton up to their label.
In February 2006, P.U.M.A. / Cassiopeia became M rton's first release, and was widely played by highly esteemed DJs such as Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren.
Thanks to this success, Levente started receiving requests for remixes, guest mixes and venue bookings, and his third hit, M.I.R.A., was released on Anjunabeats on October 9, 2006. This was followed up with by Blue Bird on May 21, 2007, and there are more projects in the pipeline.
The year 2008 saw the release of Sunny Lax- Miqu which had already been played by Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond earlier in the year and was set for a late November/early December release on Perceptive Recordings.
